Through the search engine, you will be able to find the collection points for the recoverable waste material, generated by the households throughout the HSY catchment area, in the regions of Espoo, Helsinki, Kauniainen, Vantaa and Kirkkonummi.
The search explicitly contains all the collection points for glass, recycling cardboard, paper and batteries, as well as containers for hazardous waste and centralised local collection points. The centralised local collection points are meant for glass, paper, cardboard, batteries and small metal items. Some of these provide containers for clothes.
Sortti stations of Kivikko and Konala in Helsinki and Ämmässuo in Espoo are explicitly marked on the collection point map with their own symbols. The Sortti stations and the Munkinmäki waste station in Kirkkonummi receive a greater variety of waste materials than the local collection points.
All of the collection points, apart from the Sortti stations and containers for hazardous waste, are open 24 hours per day. The opening hours of the collection containers for hazardous waste are the same as those of the service stations or shops, on whose premises the hazardous waste containers are located. Exceptions in the opening hours will be announced separately in the further information of each collection point concerned.
