Information on the collection point

The explanations on the collection points marked on the map, are above the map. You’ll get the info on each collection point, such as the street address, by clicking the symbol on the map. The info will appear both in the info bubble and in the info area above the map. The links at the bottom of the page provide for more detailed information on the materials to be collected.

Printing out the map

The info on the map and each collection point is easy to print out, by clicking on the "Print map" button in the info box. In case the info box covers too much of the map, you can hide it by clicking on the "Hide info" button. When the info box is hidden, the view can be printed by clicking the "Print" button of the browser or by using the Crtl + P keys.

Navigating the map

You may move the map to where you want, by dragging it with the primary mouse button (usually the left button) held down. For several cities, you can also navigate on the map by selecting a smaller area or by entering the postal code. Only the postal codes of the selected city may be entered in the field meant for postal codes. By clicking the "Show the whole area" button, you can return to the initial view.

Zooming on the map

The map can be zoomed in by clicking on the "Zoom in" button found at the left upper corner of the map or by double-clicking the map with the primary mouse button. Respectively, the map can be zoomed out by using the "Zoom out" button found at the upper left corner of the map or by double-clicking the secondary mouse button.

Selecting a view

The map view can be changed by clicking the button at the upper right corner of the map. You have the choice of a conventional map, a topographic map, an aerial view or a combination map (an aerial view and a conventional map one on top of the other).

The usability of Google Maps

Google Maps offer a Google service, based on user-friendly map technology. Google Maps are realised by utilising the programming techniques of Ajax, which require the latest Internet browsers to function smoothly. The following browsers, for instance, and their latest versions support Ajax: Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0, Netscape version 7.1, Apple Safari 1.2, Opera 8.0 and Mozilla Firefox.
